This is my first welding project, a recumbent front-wheel-drive bicycle. I made it based on a design from “atombikes” that I saw online. I made some adjustments, such as larger wheels and a longer wheelbase.
This was a good introduction to welding because most of the complicated parts are just salvaged from the donor bicycle. The front of this bike is made by cutting a bike in half and welding the rear dropouts to the front fork. So, the entire drive system moves with the handlebars (which takes some getting used to).
The seat came from and exercise bike, the backrest from an ab-lounge (or some such bench), and the hinges came from Anderson windows. Currently there are no brakes on this bike, although I plan to add them (as well as panniers and lights).
