The Infrared Camera Modification I’ve Always Wanted To Try

I finally attempted the now-well-known camera modification that involves replacing the IR filter in a digital camera with a piece of developed film — blocking visible light. It’s an interesting use for an otherwise obsolete camera.

There are no instructions. Every camera is different. I almost had a screw leftover, so I had to mostly disassemble the camera a second time to put it all back together properly.

With less visible light, the spot created by the TV remote is more visible.
